Back pain and other posture related injuries are far to common in todays world, the fact we are more sedentary at work and in our leisure persuits has increased the problem.
For most people poor posture and musculoskeletal problems are a result of unhealthy patterns rather than genetics, this means there is a lot that can be done to either cure these problems or enable us to live relatively pain free on a day to day basis.
According to the NHS at least 20 million people in the UK have a muscululosketal condition, this will range from non specific back pain, neck and shoulder pain to more specific conditions such as Arthritis, Stenosis and Herniated discs.
Poor posture can also lead to problems with other joints such as ankles, knees and hips and unfortunately sometimes this will lead to joint replacements or other surgery which will require rehabilitation training to aid in recovery.
The key to resolving these types of injuries is firstly identifying the problem through an Osteopath or Physio and then focused posture correction training with a experienced personal trainer.
I have various qualifications relevant to musculoskeltal problems and over 20 experience helping clients.
Once we have completed a full consultation with posture assessment you will get a report on your posture highlighting the dysfunctions and the course of action needed and we can then start training.
